I am a retired forensic psychologist (Ph.D. with license), a medical writer (I have published 14 books on the brain, memory, special needs, and the psychological assessment process), and a genealogist. I am also an adjunct professor and frequently consult with the court system. I am now on a fixed income. Honestly, I am not sure the new price will be worth it. I renewed at the old price on October 28, so I have 11 months to try other applications and deccide. Most recently, I have encountered no end of difficulties getting Evernote to sync across my Android phone and my laptop. I have been most unhappy at the lethargic, infective technical support I have received from the company, especially since Bending Spoons acquired the application. Interestingly, because I am an adjunct instructor educating psychology students at the masters and Ph.D. level, Notion gave me their professional version because I am affiliated with a major university. I have not experimented enough yet to determine whether Notion will satisfy my needs. I also recently took a course in using the Smart Notes Zettelkasten system with Obsidian. I am only a newbie with Obsidian, so I will also need to experiment with it for a bit. I had an information management that worked for me for years before I found Evernote, and I am finding myself migrating back to that system. So now I have 11 months to decide what I am going to do. I must admit I am livid with Bending Spoons and just do not think I will be able to bring myself to pay what I think would be an unreasonable amount for their program.
